Paint Brush For Brick Wall
The humble exterior brick wall is one of those features which can make or break the look of a home.

Use a Brick Cleaning Solution. For smaller walls and other features, you can handle things quite well. Step One: Brick Preparation. Clean surrounding area, then remove dirt or flaking paint from the wall, using a high pressure hose. Then give the wall a final brush to remove any missed dirt, dust or cobwebs. Mask any areas you don’t want painted. Lay drop sheets where required.
Begin your painting project by pouring thoroughly mixed paint into a bucket and dipping a quality 2'-2½' wide nylon/polyester brush into the paint. TIP: When using more than one gallon of paint, combine the containers for better uniformity of color. This intermixing is called 'boxing.'
Over time the bricks will begin to fade, however, and start to look less than great.
Fortunately, you can give them a new life if that’s your desire. It just takes some elbow grease and a bit of know-how.

1.) Use a Brick Cleaning Solution
For smaller walls and other features, you can handle things quite well yourself.
Combine salt and soap, along with a scrub brush, in order to make the seemingly impossible happen. All you’ll need to do is wet the wall and combine soap and salt in a 1:1 ratio.
You can then apply the solution to the wall and hit it with a scrub brush five to ten minutes later. It’ll remove the majority of dust and light stains with ease.
2.) Use Vinegar for the Mortar
The white build-up which occurs in the mortar of bricks which have been exposed to inclement weather is actually comprised of salt and calcium build-up. It tends to happen the most in areas with hard water but it will occur pretty much anywhere sooner or later.
Mix 1 part white vinegar with 5 parts water in a spray bottle. Spray it down and then hit it with a scrub brush.
Use a baking soda or dilute ammonia solution to neutralize the vinegar afterward.
3.) Pressure Washing an Exterior Brick Wall
Pressure washers let you get things done without having to worry about harsh chemicals. Whether you choose to hire a professional or rent one for your own use is up to you.
This is probably the easiest method for the majority of people and it will handle any build-up on the surface of the bricks or the mortar.
4.) Use Detergent for Deep Stains
Deep staining can be hard to remove using the previous methods. Many people swear by using dish detergent, which can penetrate the surface of the bricks and remove deeper stains.
Since it’s less caustic than most solutions it’ll require more effort on your part in order to get it out but in the end, it will be well worth it.
It’s best to check again after you’ve gone over the whole affair the first time.
5.) The Final Stain Solution
The final solution for handling stains is going to be harsher chemicals. Many people swear by boric acid or Drano crystals.
If you’ve tried everything else first then you may want to give it a shot. Just make sure to use proper protective gear such as goggles and long gloves and to neutralize the solution once you’re done.
